DON'T SAY "I DO" WITHOUT YOUR BFF
Is there anything better than pets in weddings? We love to see how our real couples celebrate their families in their weddings at The Bridge Building and The Bell Tower, especially when there's a four-legged member who gets to take center stage!
From using your furry friend as a flower girl to incorporating your dog into your decor, there are plenty of fun ways to make pets an essential part of your wedding day.
Scroll on for some heartwarming and Pinterest-worthy inspiration from our real weddings!
1. The Wedding Pawty
Why leave your four-legged friend at home when you can dress them up and have them walk down the aisle? Give your pet a little bowtie, collar corsage, flower crown, or even a little doggie dress or tuxedo. Your guests are guaranteed to have a great time during the ceremony with a pet in attendance, plus it makes for some truly priceless photos. There's no better best man than your adopted best friend!

2. Purrfectly Topped Cakes
Wedding cake toppers or groom's cakes are a perfect way to make a sweet tribute to your pet! Go for a laser-cut silhouette that will become a keepsake, sweet little figurines of your pack, or an edible portrait made of sugar and frosting.

3. Tablescapes
Whether it's on welcome tables, gift tables, or dining tables, we love how our couples have found creative ways to showcase their pets through signage and decor. Printed cocktail napkins would pair well with your custom drinks, and you can't beat a hand-painted sign like Jessica and Patrick's.
And how cute are these place card holders from Amy and Tyler's wedding? They incorporated their lovable golden doodles into almost every aspect of their day, but we loved the way they greeted guests as they found their seats. You could also put an image of your pet on the place cards themselves or even on the dinner menu.

4. Inspired Signature Cocktails
All pets have unique personalities, so why not use them as the inspiration behind a custom wedding cocktail!
Do you have a sophisticated cat with a sassy side? Go with a martini with a twist.
Have a sweet and loyal lab who's starting to get some grays? Try a comforting old fashioned with honey.
Make sure you talk with your wedding planner or a skilled bartender—we're partial to the Nashville Event Bartending team—and you're sure to find the right combination of spirits and flavors. Don't forget to include an illustration of the cocktail's namesake on your bar signage!

6. Pawsitively Radiant Lighting
Put your pet in your lighting design! Megan and Broughton included their pup in their custom gobo, and Kateylyn and Zach put the spotlight on their adorable cat. This way, even if your pet isn't physically in attendance, you'll feel like they're a part of the action.
7. Apparel
Why not put your little angel right on your wedding day fit for everyone to see? Custom printed socks are always a great wedding day gift for a fun-loving groom. Our 2020 bride Megan scored big when she found a pair of Kate Spade dog sneakers that looked just like her little Boston Terrier, or you go with a custom-made accessory like this beaded purse if you've got more of a DIY aesthetic.
