Megan and Broughton celebrated their love for one another with a classic winter wedding on the rooftop of The Bridge Building.
After separately moving to Nashville for work opportunities, this sweet pair met when they were seated across from one another at a big brunch outing organized by a mutual friend. They struck up a conversation and the rest was history.
As their relationship progressed, Broughton decided to pop the question during a romantic dinner on Georgia’s Lake Oconee. After Megan excitedly agreed, they met up with some friends and family to celebrate the news.
While planning their wedding, they decided it was important for their venue to showcase their new city to out-of-town guests, and The Bridge Building was the perfect spot.
“We immediately fell in love with The Bridge Building for the views of the city and loved the in-house catering, planning, and production that came with using Infinity,” Megan told us.
On the day of their classic winter wedding ceremony on the rooftop, Megan and Broughton stuck with tradition and opted out of a first look, which led to their most memorable moment of the day: standing at the altar together.
Megan kept with tradition by incorporating something old, new, borrowed, and blue into her special day. She wore her grandmother’s blue garter, as well as old and new jewelry from other relatives, and the communion chalice used during the ceremony was from Megan’s great grandfather.
Once vows were exchanged, guests made their way to the main space to grab a drink or two during cocktail hour before dinner was served. And what was on the menu? Classic Nashville hot chicken, of course!
Instead of a traditional white wedding cake, Megan and Broughton opted for a Pittsburgh-inspired dessert table full of wonderful treats made by friends and family. Guests were able to take home goodie bags filled with sweets from the table, as well as personalized Hershey’s chocolates as party favors.
At the end of the night, the newlyweds danced to Thomas Rhett’s “Die a Happy Man,” which was playing when Broughton told Megan he loved her for the very first time. So sweet!
When it was time for them to head out, guests lit their sparklers and said goodbye to the happy couple as they strolled down the pedestrian bridge!
