Shelby and Briant celebrated their marriage with a late winter rooftop wedding that featured emerald green and navy details, plus a stunning view of Nashville at The Bridge Building.
These two first met over the dating app Hinge while they were in school at Vanderbilt University here in Nashville. After two and a half years, Briant surprised Shelby with a sweet proposal on a Sunday run at Percy Warner Park.
When it was time to start wedding planning, Shelby and Briant knew they wanted a fun atmosphere with good music so their out-of-town guests could dance the night away.
On the day of the wedding, the pair shared a sweet first look next to the Cumberland River before their rooftop ceremony. Their modern yet classic wedding was decorated with glowing string lights and floating greenery arrangements.
After the exchange of vows, guests found their way to a cocktail hour featuring a yummy cheese display and cabernet as the wedding party posed for some final photos.
At the reception, a plated dinner was served. Guests chose between bourbon glazed salmon with sauteed spinach and roasted corn risotto, smoked brisket with lemon scented asparagus and sweet potato mash, and lemon and herb chicken with balsamic marinated grilled vegetables and rosemary new potatoes. The tables were decorated with geometric centerpieces, pillar candles, and airy greenery.
As the party kicked off, Shelby and Briant shared a first dance to “Strawberries” by Caamp before opening the dance floor. Guests then enjoyed a few late night bites and then sent the happy couple on their way.
