Olivia and Michael’s blue summer wedding ceremony and reception at The Bell Tower was full of sweet details and fresh blooms.
Meeting a Nashville native is a rarity these days, but Olivia and Michael are both locals who made their initial connection in church years ago and later formed a romantic relationship when they reconnected.
And where did Michael pop the question? "Michael surprised me with a trip to Las Vegas for a weekend. While we were there, we took a sunset helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. We landed on the floor of the canyon and walked around for a few minutes before he got down on one knee and proposed," Olivia told us.
When it came time to choose where to tie the knot, Olivia and Michael were looking for a one stop shop venue. Luckily they found us and fell in love with the “friendliness and professionalism” of our staff. (We’re blushing!)
They decided on a brunch wedding. On the morning of August 9th, the main space of The Bell Tower was set with swooping string lights, a glamorous chandelier, soft blue design details, and arrangements of delicate white and blue hydrangeas.
Before the ceremony began, Olivia and Michael took advantage of a few moments of quiet time to do a first look and read heartfelt letters they wrote for one another.
Then, the couple exchanged their vows in front of a group of close family and friends. Two acrylic pedestals adorned with large blue and white floral arrangements served as a modern and minimal backdrop.
Instead of hiring a DJ and setting up a dance floor, the couple chose a more low-key approach and created a relaxing lounge area for a coffee hour where they could casually mingle with their guests and unwind.
After the coffee hour and ceremony, everyone took part in a blessing led by Olivia’s father before sitting down for a plated brunch. Then it was time to cut and enjoy the cake before guests grabbed silk ribbon wands to wave and send the newlyweds on their married way.
