Looking for a little alternative wedding inspo? Nicole and Johnny's modern fall wedding at The Bell Tower was filled with unique and ultra cool design details.
Nicole, a Nashville native, and Johnny, from Atlanta, met during their college years at a 4th of July party at Ole Miss and instantly bonded over their shared passions of going to concerts, hiking, and travelling.
This adventurous couple eventually moved to Nashville together to be closer to Nicole’s family. Later, Johnny proposed in one of the most scenic locations we’ve heard of so far—on a hike to the top of Peru's wondrous Rainbow Mountain!
When they started wedding planning, they knew they wanted a fun and stress-free day with their friends and family above all else. This stylish couple definitely knows how to throw a party, and their big day at The Bell Tower was filled with modern, alternative, and elegant design details.
For the ceremony, he rafters were draped with soft string lights, and the aisles were lined with romantic bouquets filled with greenery and delicate ivory blooms. And true to the couple, they broke with tradition and decided to set up their altar on the far side of our venue in front of a sliding wood door, flanked by two modern concrete pillars that held ornate iron vases filled with large arrangements.
Nicole wore a stunning semi-sheer lace wedding dress and veil, and her bridesmaids wore sleek black gowns. Johnny and his groomsmen sported light grey suits with black ties and matching pocket squares.
After the two exchanged heartfelt vows, it was time for their guests to break for a relaxed cocktail hour and enjoy a generous grazing table filled with specialty cheeses, crackers, and fresh fruit while the main space was flipped.
As the couple made their way back, guests took their seats at tables decorated with simple black linens, pillar candles, small bouquets of ivory roses and anemones, and grey napkins. For dinner, everyone enjoyed delicious options like honey balsamic chicken, Southwest salad, balsamic marinated grilled vegetables, four cheese macaroni, and rosemary roasted fingerling potatoes before hearing some sweet speeches and hitting the dance floor.
Nicole changed into a casual look with dark jeans, a band tee, and blue suede boots, and we loved her commitment to being true to her own style! During the high-energy reception, the newlyweds' shared love of music was obvious, and Nicole even joined the band on stage for a song or two! Guests took time to sign the vinyl record guestbook before Nicole and Johnny cut their creative wedding cake that was painted to look like a geode with sparkling crystal formations inside.
At the end of the night, Nicole threw on a killer fringed leather jacket, and the newlyweds made their way through a sparkler exit and hopped into a vintage red convertible like the rock stars they are.
