Mattie and Josh's simple, organic wedding at The Bell Tower kicked off on a gorgeous spring day in May.
Right off the bat, my favorite aspect of the day was the unique detailing on Mattie's dress, a bohemian style gown with delicate lace throughout.
I also loved that she incorporated babies breath into her chic up-do, perfectly complementing her whimsical dress.
The inspiration for the day was something quite simple and not too over the top. The couple truly wanted to utilize the beauty of the venue, opting for a very natural approach.
Consequently, they chose a soft and sweet color scheme of dusty blue and white with gold accents and lots of greenery to achieve their desired look.
Aside from the design, it was most important to the couple that their reception be a super fun environment.
They also wanted to ensure that each place setting was unique and beautiful for dinner. This was achieved by loose, fluffy white flowers intertwined with greenery and pillar candles that first lined the aisle also serving as centerpieces for the dinner tables. We love multi-purpose decor!
For a glamorous touch, they used gold flatware and gold-rimmed water goblets from Liberty Party Rental. While rustic, wooden table numbers lead guests to their respective tables.
As guests arrived, they wrote well wishes in a traditional guest book with Mattie and Josh's engagement photos inside.
After a sweet ceremony between the windows, they sat down to a plated dinner as they sipped southern sweet tea and lemonade.
Entrees included southern favorites like house hickory-smoked pulled pork with southern style green beans and four-cheese macaroni. Now that's how you do Nashville!
To wrap up, guests sent Mattie and Josh off through a tunnel of gold pom-poms that led up to the couple’s special getaway car, a vintage cherry red Chevrolet pick-up truck!
