Katye and Russell's timeless summer wedding began with a ceremony at Scarritt Bennett followed by a reception at The Bell Tower.
Inspired by the wood beams and industrial iron railings at The Bell Tower, Katye and Russell envisioned a natural and organic reception. We accomplished this by utilizing wood accents with natural greenery and delicate white flowers. Black lantern centerpieces complemented both the rustic and industrial elements within the space, making for an enchanting setting.
With Katye and Russell's chosen color palette of ivory and steel blue, utilizing this shade of blue was simple yet effective as it reads more of a neutral. Using a muted shade allowed us to incorporate a color that isn't so bold, which created a subtle romantic ambience for the day.
Prior to the send-off, the happy couple requested everyone to clear the room for one final dance to take in the last few moments of their wedding day. Katye and Russell danced, shared private words, and had a chance to reflect. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
Katye, a University of Kentucky alum, and Russell, an Auburn alum, were sent off with pom-poms. As the couple made their way through a sea of blue, white and orange, they waved their own respective colleges pom poms, and left their wedding reception in true collegiate style.
