Cassidy + Darius’ Dreamy Rooftop Wedding

Cassidy and Darius celebrated their nuptials with a dreamy rooftop ceremony and reception full of romantic ambiance at The Bridge Building. 

These Nashville natives met the modern way, through an app called Tinder, and the rest was history! Later on, Darius privately reserved the gardens behind the Cheekwood mansion and got down on one knee. 

It was important to these two that everyone had fun on the big day, and being from Nashville, Cassidy knew she wanted to step away from any “country” style and focus more on a modern vibe.

“I wanted a modern, simple, romantic venue with lots of natural light, and I knew it was The Bridge Building the second I stepped into the space,” she explained. 

Opting out of a first look, this pair first locked eyes as Cassidy walked down the aisle to her now husband, Darius, who was standing in front of a floral arch full of white blooms and greenery.

“We had eyes only for each other and felt the whole ceremony was authentically us,” Cassidy shared. Not to mention, an unbeatable view of downtown Nashville just across the river! 

Afterwards, guests made their way to the riverfront to snack on passed appetizers of roasted fig and goat cheese flatbread, hot chicken slider, candied bacon, pepper jelly pimento cheese bruschetta, crispy herbed risotto balls, and fried green tomatoes. 

Once they found their seats in the main space, decorated with loads of greenery and romantic candle lighting, a dinner service of plated maple mustard glazed chicken with grilled asparagus, roasted corn, and charred tomato risotto, began. 

Before the night came to an end with a fun bubble exit and custom cookies, Cassidy and Darius shared a first dance to “The Very Thought Of You” by Michael Buble.
