Baylor University’s president Linda A. Livingstone hosted the “Give Light” fundraising campaign at The Bell Tower with an industrial style, greenery decor, and loads of personal touches.
In the main space, a stage was set for live performances and stories by Baylor alumni, rising songwriter Trannie S. Anderson, CMA Chairman and songwriter Jim Beavers, and Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer Brett James. Rustic, industrial Renaissance chandeliers hung from above, illuminating the dark wood farmhouse tables below. They were decorated with a mix of greenery runners and small vases with dainty arrangements of white flowers and more greenery, as well as votive candles for a soft glow.
For that personalized touch, the venue’s beloved arch windows were adorned with faux stained glass made by AMP, and the Baylor University logo was projected in the covered patio space by Nashville Lighting and Production.
Lounge areas were also set on the patio with chic cowhide rugs, modern leather sofas, and simple centerpieces of white florals and greenery in gold vases. Smaller versions of the Renaissance chandeliers hung from above, wrapped in magnolia leaves to create a cohesive look.
There were drink stations placed on the patio and the in-house chefs served passed apps of mini chicken and waffles, arancini, mini beef wellingtons, and individual pre-set charcuteries!
Dinner stations were later displayed with slider selections consisting of beef tenderloin, caprese, crab cakes, and Southern comforts. But that’s not all! Later, desserts of miniature pecan pies, chocolate mousse pies, and cherry pies were set out for guests.
