From high school sweethearts to happy newlyweds, this precious couple had a cool organic wedding at The Bell Tower we just can't get over.
After initially meeting in their 8th-grade algebra class, Sloane and Josh had their first date their sophomore year of high school in 2009. Grab your tissues!
Josh decided to propose at Sloane's grandparent's house in their hometown. He hung photographs of the two of them around the yard in the trees and handed her a letter titled, "My last letter to you as your boyfriend. Many more to come as your husband." Sloane and Josh had been exchanging letters since high school, so it was more than special that he incorporated it into the proposal. After reading the letter aloud, Josh got down on one knee and popped the question.
Knowing they wanted to say their vows on the 10th anniversary of their first date, they were thrilled to learn The Bell Tower had that specific day available.
"When we toured, it felt like the perfect place to host our wedding ceremony and reception. I especially couldn't wait to get married in between the beautiful windows," Sloane shared with us.
Finally, wedding day arrived. The couple went with a cool color palette and organic decor to transform The Bell Tower into their chic wedding style.
Sloane wore a stunning gown from Modern Trousseau and carried an airy bouquet by Stella Rose Floral. In addition, a locket from her grandma was attached to her bouquet, inside held pictures of her great grandparents.
Before the ceremony, Sloane shared a sweet first look with both her dad and now husband.
"In that moment, we held each other and talked about what had led up to this day and what this day signified for us," Sloane told us. "It was incredibly special to have a moment to reflect on the start of our married lives and our family together."
When the ceremony was over, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio with a few hors d'oeuvres while our team set up the reception inside. After dinner, Sloane and Josh incorporated a traditional cake cutting followed by a first dance to "You're Still The One" by Shania Twain. Goals!
The wedding day was complete with a Dirty Dancing finale, a sparkler send-off, and the coolest 1986 getaway car. Scroll to see!
