These travel enthusiasts tied the knot at The Bell Tower with a romantic burgundy wedding complete with greenery and gold details.
Nicole and Chris met in Franklin, just south of Nashville, at Drake's for their trivia night. Chris just so happened to have an open seat next to him, and the rest is history. After four years of dating, when Chris decided it was time to pop the question, he knew just where to ask.
They took a trip to one of Nicole's favorite places—Edinburgh, Scotland, where she attended veterinary school. Nicole set up a sightseeing tour, and Chris took advantage of this to find the perfect spot. Overlooking the city on the west side of a castle, Chris got down on one knee, and Nicole took no time placing her new jewel on her finger!
After deciding on a destination wedding here in Nashville, Nicole and Chris knew it was important to give guests a little insight into the area. They created welcome bags with survival kits and a list of things to do while in town.
Kicking off the wedding day, the couple shared a darling first look and afterward took a quick stroll around downtown Nashville, where The Bell Tower is located.
For the ceremony, Quest Events hung ivory drapes over the tall arched windows inside the main space, and the aisle was lined with fresh greenery by Forget Me Not Designs.
After the intimate ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and some light bites during cocktail hour on the patio. Delectable hors d'oeuvres included candied bacon, margherita flatbread, antipasto skewers, chicken and waffles, and brisket tacos. Yum!
Following cocktail hour, guests made their way back inside to enjoy a hearty buffet while the newlyweds slipped away for a private meal together.
"Hanging out alone while we ate dinner was refreshing," Chris told us.
The couple later danced to Frank Sinatra's "The Way You Look Tonight" and ended the evening with a sparkler send-off.
