For their rustic sunflower wedding day, Marie and Matt wanted a fun party with family and friends, so a fun party is what they got!
These two met while working for the same radio station, WKDF 103.3 Country. They began dating once Matt switched jobs, and just eight years later, they came to us to officially say "I do."
Fun fact: Matt held on to Marie's engagement ring for 9 months until he finally popped the question on Malibu Beach in California.
So, how did they decide on The Bell Tower for their wedding ceremony and reception venue?
"We looked at a couple [places] and fell in love with The Bell Tower. It’s perfect parts rustic and inviting with class and sophistication all in the heart of downtown Nashville," Marie told us. "We had a lot of family coming in from out of town, and it was the perfect place where they could still enjoy the feel of Nashville."
Their rustic wedding ceremony filled with sunflowers was held between the grand windows followed by a cocktail hour full of tequila-infused watermelon on the patio. One of our summer favorites!
After that, guests made their way to their seats and indulged in hickory-smoked pulled pork or maple mustard glazed chicken with a side of grilled vegetables and four-cheese macaroni. Yum!
When guests were full of a savory meal and sweet treats by Nashville Sweets, the dance floor was opened for a night of fun and celebration! Marie and Matt kicked things off with their first dance to “Glory of Love” by Peter Cetera.
To sum up the evening, this couple let their love glow as they were sent off by their guests holding colorful glow sticks!
