Kasey and George imagined a classic natural wedding at The Bell Tower where everyone could have a great time and enjoy the moment.
This sweet pair met through a mutual friend in college while Kasey was in undergrad and George in law school. "We were friends for about a year before we began dating," Kasey told us. "Over nine years later, we finally got married!"
As for the proposal, George had a hard time surprising Kasey, but it was just as sweet as if he had. "George wanted to surprise me, but after all the years it was proving to be quite difficult, along with picking out the right ring," Kasey said.
"He proposed with a paperclip ring just the two of us," she continued. "The next day, we picked out a ring together and the planning began."
Their first task? Finding the perfect location and venue. "Nashville has always been quite special to us and we knew we wanted somewhere different from where we live in Illinois and from where I grew up in Texas," Kasey told us.
"We visited a few places in Nashville and actually ended up canceling the rest of the venue tours after we saw The Bell Tower. We knew it was perfect for us!"
And we're so glad they did! Since the couple envisioned a classic natural vibe in shades of ivory and gray, we brought in Forget Me Not Designs to work her magic.
She covered the space in soft, white florals and bundles of eucalyptus, which popped beautifully against dove gray linens from Music City Tents.
For their ceremony, a rectangular arch adorned with sweet spray roses and greenery framed the altar.
And for Kasey's most memorable moment of the day? "The moment we realized all the planning and details came together to one fantastic event," Kasey told us. "Everyone seemed to really enjoy it and that was pretty amazing!"
After cocktail hour on the patio, the reception kicked off in the main space. The same arch used to frame the ceremony altar was used to frame the sweetheart table with a stylish linen loveseat from Please Be Seated to stay cozy.
Plated dinner began with biscuits and honey butter and roasted pear and fennel salads. Nashville favorites served included house hickory smoked pulled pork and buttermilk fried chicken breast served with caramelized onion potatoes and southern style green beans.
Proving that all you really need is love and donuts, the couple cut into a simple naked cake and shared a donut from our custom donut wall with donuts from Fox's Donut Den for dessert.
