Jordan and Patrick celebrated their marriage with a classic, cool spring wedding at The Bridge Building that honored their epic love story.
In early January of 2016, Jordan decided to go out with two new friends. After spending some time at Rebar, the girls decided to move over to Blue Bar to dance.
Meanwhile, Patrick decided to hit one more bar with a good friend before calling it a night. As it turns out, Jordan was in the middle of the dance floor when Patrick spotted her, and he asked her to dance. Later that night, he asked her for her number which led to lunch the next day and the rest is history!
A little over a year later, Jordan's parents were visiting for Thanksgiving. After lunch downtown, her mom suggested they walk to the Pedestrian Bridge to take a picture. But Jordan tried to persuade the group to keep walking because it was cold, and they already had pictures together on the bridge.
Much to Jordan's dismay, her mom insisted they pose for a picture when Patrick suddenly launched into his speech. But Jordan told him to stop, because she thought he was joking! He then got down on one knee and asked Jordan to marry him right outside their future wedding venue. Sweetness overload!
"Patrick deserves an immense amount of props for being able to surprise me," Jordan told us, "because keeping a secret from me is almost impossible."
When it came to picking a venue for the big day, the couple wanted something modern with beautiful views of downtown Nashville, and that's where we came in. For their heartfelt ceremony on the rooftop, a wood arbor with asymmetrical florals framed the altar and white candles lined the aisle.
Afterward, guests snacked on a variety of hors d'oeuvres including fried green tomatoes, brisket tacos, and fried oysters during cocktail hour. For dinner in the Cumberland space, they dined on roasted pear and fennel salads with entrees including baseball cut sirloins and pecan encrusted trout.
The couple later kicked off an epic dance party on the rooftop to a Drake mashup of "Hold On, We're Going Home" and "Best I Ever Had."
"We love Drake," Jordan told us. "We know all the words to almost all of his songs and sing them in the car all the time."
