Today we're jumping back to Jonna and Brian's New Year's Eve wedding! Their black and gold style at The Bridge Building was the perfect way to head into 2020.
A little over six years ago, Jonna was introduced to Brian by her best friend, who at the time was dating Brian's cousin. Once Brian was sure he had found the one, he got down on one knee and popped the question. The rest is history!
When asked why she chose The Bridge Building, Jonna told us they used to talk their dog for a walk along downtown Nashville's Riverfront Park and down the pedestrian bridge, which is attached the venue.
"We walked the stairs of our wedding venue at least 100 times before we toured it. We actually took our very first picture together in Nashville along the bridge. When we found out we could get married somewhere so special to us, the decision was very easy!" she explained.
For the big day, The Bridge Building was transformed with glamorous touches of black and gold. In the Cumberland space hung an array of string lights with Nashville Lighting & Production's Maria chandelier glowing center stage.
Following Jonna and Brian's sweet ceremony, our team quickly flipped the main space for dinner while guests enjoyed the couple's signature cocktail, a Moscow mule, and some savory bites.
Once the reception was set, dinner service began. Guests filled their plates with slow-roasted prime rib, grilled cheese, street tacos, gourmet french fries, and more. Yum!
In lieu of wedding favors, Jonna and Brian chose to make a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital in honor of their guests—a thoughtful and sustainable choice.
And what better way to end a New Year's Eve wedding? Sparklers along the river after the fireworks, of course!
