Brandice and Marland had an elegant summer wedding with classic neutrals and blush pink accents at The Bridge Building.
This sweet pair met through a social group for professionals on Facebook and decided to meet up after they realized they both lived in Nashville. After dating for some time, Marland later popped the question around Christmas at one of their favorite restaurants in Franklin! He put the ring in a covered dish and had a photographer there to document the whole cinematic proposal.
When it came time to start planning, the couple wanted to focus on celebrating their romance and commitment to one another while also honoring their faith and time-honored family traditions. Since the riverfront was a special location for them, they knew The Bridge Building was the perfect venue.
As for the design of their big day, Brandice and Marland had blush drapery with sprigs of greenery at the altar of their rooftop ceremony and a reception filled with neutrals, rose gold and blush accents, and ivory pillar candles.
Before Brandice walked the aisle in a lace mermaid-style dress holding a rounded bouquet of ivory and blush roses, she shared a sweet first look with both Marland and her dad. Safe to say there wasn’t a dry eye around!
After the couple said “I do,” guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with passed Southern hors d'oeuvres, such as crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, mini chicken and waffles, and hot chicken biscuits.
A plated dinner followed with selections like bourbon-glazed salmon, herb encrusted chicken with glazed carrots and rosemary roasted fingerling potatoes, and smoked brisket with white cheddar mashed potatoes. Yum!
Then, it was time to cut their stylish, semi-naked white cake with drip icing and head back up to the scenic views on the rooftop for a night of dancing and joyous celebration. Brandice and Marland’s fraternity and sorority siblings even treated them to a special performance before they closed out the festivities.
