SUMMERTIME
Say hello to high tides, good vibes, tan lines and good times. It's officially summer! There's nothing quite like lazy days, sandy toes, and great memories with family and friends.
Summer parties are one of our favorite parts of the season. Cool cocktails, light bites, and a frozen sweet treat or two are sure to put a smile on even the gloomiest of faces!
Whether you're throwing a backyard soiree to commemorate an occasion or a pool party to work on your tan with your besties, read on for a few ideas to help you stay cool, no sweat! After all, every summer has its own story. What will yours say?
1. Take Me Out to the Ball Game.
Catch a Sounds home game with friends and family over at First Tennessee Park. Afterward, cool off with a backyard BBQ. Keep with the theme by hanging a piñata from the trees, and have your littlest family member swing first for a sweet prize. Batter up!
2. Make a splash!
Throw an epic pool party to catch some rays and catch up with friends. Step up your invite game and embrace your theme by forgoing traditional paper invites or e-vites, and deliver individual beach balls with handwritten details to your guests instead. Make guests feel welcome with cheery and colorful decor such as fun, inflatable pool floats or a boozy popsicle stand. And don't forget the sunscreen station!
Bonus tip: If you're more into stilettos than swimming, opt for an elegant poolside cocktail party instead. For quick, inexpensive and stylish decor, trade out the colorful floats for an abundance of white floating candles. Line the pool with twinkling votives or candles in tall, glass pillars to add extra ambiance and sophistication.

3. But first, brunch.
Is there really anything better than rosé on a rooftop to beat the summer heat? Treat your girls to brunch on the rooftop of L.A. Jackson. Afterward, take your squad to Woodhouse Spa to relax and sooth sun-drenched skin.

4. Eat. Sip. Repeat.
Throw a fun backyard dinner party to kick off the season with family and friends. Incorporate summer into your decor by utilizing fresh fruit and vegetables in your centerpieces. Our personal favorites are figs and artichokes!
Elevate your dinner party by trading in the red solo cups for a specialty summer cocktail. Our friends at Nashville Event Bartending suggest a Frozen Dark & Stormy made with dark rum, fresh ginger, lime juice and spicy ginger beer. A grown-up slushie you say? We're in.
For wine lovers, try one of our southern favorites, Sweet Tea Sangria. Made with sweet tea, fresh peaches and raspberries, this summer staple is sure to keep the merriment going all night long. And don't stop there! Trade in the beloved chips and dip for a few delicious summer-inspired small plates to start, such as Infinity favorites tequila-infused watermelon or prosciutto-wrapped melon. Yum!
