TIE THE KNOT IN STYLE
As we jump into this new year, wedding fashion is taking the lead for what's trendy and what's not.
From bridal hairpieces to groom footwear, you’ll want to step up your game this 2022 wedding season. So to make things easy, we created a list of the top fashion trends for the bride, bridesmaids, and groom from real weddings.
For more insight from our professional eye, stay tuned every month to catch what’s new in our ideas & advice blogs.
1. Brides
Bridal fashion is next level for this upcoming year. You can expect to see a mix of modern and traditional styles, like square necklines paired with elbow-length gloves and birdcage veils. That’s right, old is the new, new!
Some of the most popular pieces we expect to see are jeweled hair accessories, statement earrings, and personalized jackets for the reception— not to mention colorful shoes to add some flare, and a dress change to dance the night away.
Below, Megan chose gold floral earrings with a sweet pearl center, paired with her modern off-the-shoulder dress and a custom denim jacket to exit the crowd.
2. Bridesmaids
Goodbye to the days of dressing your bridesmaids in poofy dresses that match your grandma’s home interior. Now, brides are dressing their best gals in flattering gowns that compliment the style of the wedding and also the person who’s wearing it.
The most popular wedding color we have seen throughout decor and bridesmaid attire would be this eye-catching emerald green! Kate’s bride tribe below is the perfect example of this popular trend.
And if the gals aren’t in satin dresses with a classy swoosh neckline, then they’re more than likely rocking mix-and-match styles like Kelsie’s blushing squad. This is one trend we predict is here to stay.
Outside of the color or style of the dress, not all bridesmaids are holding bouquets! Shayna opted out of a bundle of blooms and chose these colorful Japanese folding fans instead. How cute!
3. Grooms
It’s not all about the bride! Grooms have really stepped it up, showing their sophisticated style with all the personality. Don’t retire the crazy socks or fun suit lining, but let everyone see your sense of fashion on the outside as well.
Standing out from the groomsmen or not, grooms are opting away from the traditional black suit and tie wedding look. You can expect to see more blue, white, burgundy, and blush looks coming in 2022.
And that’s not all! Step out in your gold dress shoes or your custom crocodile boots with a feathered bow tie and pocket hanky. These are easy ways to add a little flair to your dapper groom fashion without taking too much attention from your bride-to-be.
