Georgia couple Erica and Bert tied the knot at The Bell Tower with a classic and modern wedding ceremony and reception.
Their story began while attending college together at Georgia Southern; they were inseparable after meeting at a student bar! Five years later, Bert proposed in the new home they bought together.
When planning their big day, the couple wanted to make sure their reception was the party of the century, so they went with a destination wedding in Nashville. Since the majority of their guests were coming from out of town, Erica and Bert wanted to make sure they got a truly Nashville experience, and The Bell Tower was the perfect venue for it.
For their decor, the pair kept things streamlined with a color palette of white, black, and green. They took advantage of the historic space’s beams and tall ceilings with delicate string lights and a lovely custom monogram designed by White Ink Calligraphy. It featured pecan branches as a nod to Bert’s work as a pecan farmer.
The nearly newlyweds exchanged vows during a chic ceremony decorated with white florals and petals, white pillar candles, and dramatic white draping that highlighted the room's dramatic windows. The guests then enjoyed a cocktail hour with beer and wine on the covered patio, which was staged with lounge furniture, while the newlyweds snuck off to enjoy the post-ceremony glow over a private meal.
Erica and Bert took advantage of both the main space and The Bell Tower's mezzanine for the reception, as each was filled with round mahogany bistro tables decorated with crisp white tablecloths, black accents, and plenty of greenery.
A wooden farm-style sweetheart table anchored the reception with an elegant white chiffon table runner, eucalyptus and other delicate greenery, tea light candles, and white taper candles.
After dinner, special guests led a champagne toast and speeches before the first dance kicked off.
Later in the evening, the newlyweds cut a classic white cake adorned with a waterfall arrangement of white orchids. And although their beloved dog couldn’t be in attendance, the furry friend did make an appearance as a part of the groom's cake topper and as an illustration on their cocktail napkins!
At the end of the night, the newlyweds made their way out of the party in a fun glow stick send-off.
