Ben Hickerson was born and raised in Nashville, Tenn. and attended Montgomery Bell Academy.  While a student at The Ohio State University, Ben began his culinary career as a line cook at a neighborhood wood oven pizza restaurant. After graduating, he continued following his passion by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. and earned a degree in culinary arts management. After his graduation from CIA, Ben seized the opportunity to be part of the opening team of Jonathan Benno’s Lincoln Ristorante in New York City and helped the restaurant earn its first Michelin star.

After New York, he moved to Austin, Texas where he helped manage the openings of Jeffrey’s and Olamaie, both of which were recognized by Food & Wine and The James Beard Foundation as being one of America’s Best New Restaurants in their respective years. Ben moved back home to Nashville to take a position with Strategic Hospitality as General Manager of both The Patterson House and The Catbird Seat. He joined Infinity Hospitality Group in the fall of 2016 as the Catering Director.
